I am having about 15 people over on Sunday for a big cookie decorating/childrens christmas craft day. Does anyone have any great cookie cut-out recipes? Please pass them along if you do!

my favorite cutouts since i was a kid, my mom used to make them every year, now i do! and they are, if I remember right, the almost exact same recipe as lisa's cutouts...
SUGAR COOKIES
3/4 c. butter 1 c. sugar 1/2 tsp. lemon (i add 1/2 t of almond extract too) 2 1/2 c. flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. salt
Mix thoroughly. Roll out; cut in shapes. Bake at 350 degrees. 6-7 minutes, cool, frost with butter frosting or glaze (glaze is a tiny bit of milk and powdered sugar)
oops forgot this part... Cream butter and sugar together. Add eggs and vanilla; mix thoroughly. Stir flour and baking soda together; blend with wet ingredients. Chill at least 1 hour or overnight
